Based on a true historical story, this painting depicts the tragic story of Xiang Yu and Concubine Yu Ji.
Facing imminent defeat against the Qin Dynasty, Yu Ji ended her life so that Xiang Yu wouldn't have any worries left. Upon hearing this news, Xiang Yu followed after her, refusing to surrender to his enemies. One died for his kingdom, and one died for her love.
Xiang Yu and Yu Ji's story is not only a witness of tragic love but also demonstrates the strong qualities of loyalty and bravery.
The painting intends to capture the last and most beautiful image of Yu Ji on stage and is also, the last portrait of Yu Ji and Xiang Yu (the facebook design on the left in red) together.
