"Alzheimer's is an art of losing." - Still Alice, 2014 film
Through this painting, I hope to capture what the world looks like from the lens of an Alzheimer's patient. Most of the time, their minds are blank, like the lost part of the canvas in the background.
However, I hoped to clear up the misunderstandings and stereotypes that people connect with this illness and explain to the audience that they are not suffering; they are simply struggling. Struggling to remember, struggling to identify, and struggling to express themselves.
